The Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats will play in the championship game at the Science Hill Invitational tonight after a 2-0 win over George Rogers Clark High School on Saturday afternoon.
It was a very competitive soccer game, and the score was zero to zero at halftime, Oak Ridge Coach Jeff Trombly said.
He said freshman forward Kate Hausladen scored in the second half for the Lady Wildcats at about the 60th minute, giving Oak Ridge a 1-0 lead.
Senior forward Macy Barclay added the second goal for Oak Ridge at about the 75th minute, converting a penalty kick into a goal.
Trombly said the Lady Wildcats outshot George Rogers Clark, which beat Science Hill on Friday night, but neither team had many shots on goal.
