The Under Armour/Scott Stallings Championship is in Oak Ridge this week. The golf tournament is scheduled at the Oak Ridge Country Club from July 27-30.
It’s the second annual event, and it’s been organized by the American Junior Golf Association.
On Sunday, the tournament announced that 10 boys and two girls qualified.
Goodman Rudolph of Cordova, Tennessee, and Zach Miller of Richmond, Kentucky, both Âcarded 3-under-par 69s to earn co-medalist honors Sunday at the AJGA Qualifier.
Amanda Doherty of Atlanta and Kimberlee Tottori of Las Vegas claimed co-medalist honors in the Girls Division with 1-under-par 71s at Oak Ridge Country Club.
Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the AJGA Qualifier for the Under Armour/Scott Stallings Championship was an 18-hole stroke play event held at Oak Ridge Country Club. The tournament field featured 84 boys and 14 girls, ages 12-18. The Boys Division played the par-72 course at 6,867 yards, while the Girls Division played the course at 6,044 yards.
AJGA Qualifiers give juniors an opportunity to “play their way in” to coinciding AJGA Open tournaments or earn Performance Stars to use for a future event, according to a news release posted on the tournament website. The AJGA Qualifier Series offers opportunities for AJGA juniors at approximately 50 AJGA Open events.
Qualifying in the Boys Division for the Scott Stallings Championship were Miller; Caleb Jensen of Woodstock, Georgia; Trenton Johnson of Brentwood, Tennessee; Jake Hall of Knoxville, Tennessee; Mason Rudolph of Cordova, Tennessee; Robert Howard of Acworth, Georgia; Coleman Jones of Franklin, Tennessee; Oliver Whatley of Potomac, Maryland; Braedon Wear of Maryville, Tennessee; and Jay Fox of Springfield, Tennessee.
