A fundraising breakfast at Applebee’s restaurant in Oak Ridge on Saturday will support Emory Valley Center’s Capital Campaign.
It’s an “All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast,” and it’s scheduled from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, June 13. Applebee’s will be providing the breakfast food items and staff members to cook the pancakes and sausage, a press release said.
“Please make plans to attend,” the release said.
Tickets are $5 for children and adults, and they may be purchased at Emory Valley Center, 715 Emory Valley Road, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and at the door Saturday morning.
Among those helping Emory Valley Center’s staff and board members as volunteers for the breakfast will be community supporters Naomi Asher, United Way of Anderson County executive director; David Erb, Erb Allstate Agency; Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank; Tennessee Senator Randy McNally; Rick Meredith, Anderson County Chamber of Commerce president; Emily Stroud of WBIR; and Capital Campaign Co-Chairs Dottie Thompson and Gene Caldwell.
Emory Valley Center has been meeting the needs of people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in the community for 60 years, the press release said. The agency currently provides a comprehensive array of educational, vocational, residential, and rehabilitation services, programs, and support on a monthly basis to more than 850 children and adults in 16 East Tennessee counties.
Emory Valley Center is continuing to accept donations for their Capital Campaign from generous individual and business supporters throughout the community, the release said.
