Angelyn Chastain

Angelyn Chastain better known as “Angie,” age 55, of Clinton, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, at Methodist Medical Center.

Angie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved helping others and being surrounded by family and friends. Angie also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and growing flowers and plants.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Craig; stepfather, Dan Smith; grandmother, Alice Walden; and mother-in-law, Etta Chastain.

Angie is survived by her husband, Bobby Chastain of Clinton; sons, Danny Williams and Tiffany Bridges and Chase Chastain and Megan Lowe, all of Clinton; daughter, Bobbie Michelle Harris and husband A.J. of Oak Ridge; brothers, Mark McDevitt  of Columbus, Ohio; and sisters, Jeannie Craig of Texas, Tammie Craig of Columbus, Ohio, Marcia McDevitt of Clinton, and Dana Smith of Clinton. Angie is also survived by four grandchildren and special friend, Marilyn Phillips.

Angie’s family will receive her friends on Thursday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. with her celebration of life to follow at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Gary Swaggerty officiating. Her interment will be private.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
