Tara Ann Kobisk

Tara Ann Kobisk

Our beautiful, talented Tara Ann passed away on Friday, July 20.

Tara was born on Jan. 31, 1975, in Oak Ridge. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1993 and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee.

Tara had many interests during her life and always enjoyed learning how to do new things. She had recently started taking an upholstery class with her best and treasured friend, Shawna Beeler.

She loved the serenity of scuba diving and had a salt-water fish tank that she enjoyed taking care of. Tara loved the outdoors. She liked ballroom and belly dancing, cooking, and making many beautiful crocheted items for friends and family. Tara got the most joy out of doing things for other people and seeing them happy.

Tara was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kobisk, and her grandfathers, Maurice Freeman and Paul Cagle.

Tara will be forever loved and missed by her momma, Lisa Pennell; her sister, Kristin Berry and husband Brett; adored nieces, Keeley, Kadie, and Abby; her former stepfather, David Pennell; grandmother, Myrna Cagle; aunt and uncle, Lori and Robert McAlister; uncle, Craig Freeman; cousins, Sarah Damen, and Robert Damen and son, Luke; her boyfriend, Adrian Leonard and his children, Anna and Caleb; friends and co-workers from Edge Automotive; and numerous others.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge from 6 to 8 p.m. She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in the ocean at a later date.

The family asks that any memorials be made to Weatherford Mortuary in her memory to help defray funeral costs or to the Anderson County Rescue Squad.

An online guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
