Pet of the Day: Barry

Submitted

Barry was surrendered with two much younger siblings, and he is not taking shelter life too well. He’s sad and scared, but sweet and likes to be petted.

We think in a loving home he will come out of his shell and be the awesome cat we know he is. For now, though, he is sitting and making himself small. He is not mean, but he is too scared right now to do much more than lay against the wall of his cage and stare at you with sad eyes.

We hope someone can look past the fear and take poor Barry home to a new happily-ever-after.

The Oak Ridge Animal Shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It’s located at 395 Belgrade Road in east Oak Ridge. The phone number is (865) 425-3423.

See the Animal Shelter’s website here. You can also find more information on adoptable animals at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter on this Facebook page.
