Michael Hargett, president of CVMR-USA, which announced Friday that it’s moving from Toronto to Oak Ridge, will be the keynote speaker at an Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday, March 19.
The One Voice—One Vision Luncheon will be at noon Thursday, March 19, at the Riverside Grille in Oak Ridge.
CVMR announced at a special event on Friday that the company will be locating its international headquarters in Oak Ridge. The company plans to invest $313 million and will bring 620 new jobs to the city.
Hargett is the president of CVMR-USA providing leadership and direction for metal refining and new product manufacturing for CVMR and its affiliated companies. His responsibilities include sponsorship, strategic planning and leadership of new products, technologies, and programs with an emphasis in recovery, refining, and reuse of radiologically contaminated metals. He holds an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in zoology and a master’s degree in microbiology from North Carolina State University. For the last 38 years, he has worked to apply new technologies to environmental challenges.
The One Voice—One Vision Luncheon will serve as the kickoff to the Chamber’s 2015 Program of Work as well as the introduction of the Chamber’s three-year strategic plan.
Cost to attend the luncheon is $50 per person for members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. For non-members, the cost is $100 per person.
