Kyle Richard Jackson

Kyle Richard Jackson

Kyle Richard Jackson, age 20, of Coalfield, passed away Wednesday, March 11, at Vanderbilt Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Kyle was a Christian and a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church, and he loved his church family.

Kyle is the son of Richard and Melissa Jackson and brother of Courtney Jackson. Kyle was a lifelong resident of Coalfield. He graduated from Coalfield High School in 2012 and was attending Roane State with plans to attend the University of Tennessee.

He loved Coalfield School and the community. He played football and baseball during high school. One memorable moment not only for him but for anyone involved with Coalfield football was when he scored a touchdown his senior year. He felt a brotherhood with his teammates and remained close to his friends after graduation.

One of Kyle’s passions was football. He continued to be a part of Coalfield football by assisting in any way needed following his graduation. He was glad to have been able to attend the state championship game this year.

He loved UT football and the NFL and could tell you any player or stat. One of his favorite vacations was when he went to the NFL Hall of Fame. The highlight of this trip was getting to TeBow in front of Tim Tebow’s jersey. His dream job was to become an ESPN football reporter. He also loved to play video games and watch movies.

Kyle loved life and always had a smile and a kind word. His concern for others was always at the forefront of any conversation. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He could always be counted on to brighten your day.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jerry Jackson.

He is survived by his grandmother Sharon Jackson of Coalfield, and his grandparents William and Mary Seiber of Devonia. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved very much.

Arrangements are being handled by Jackson Funeral Services.

The receiving of friends was Saturday, March 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Coalfield School. The funeral will be Sunday, March 15, at Middle Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Western Cemetery. Rev. Ronald Gutherie and Rev. Corey Jones officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship has been set up in Kyle’s name at Regions Bank. Donations can be made at any branch or by contacting Coalfield School. Go to www.jacksonfuneralservices.com to leave condolences.
