Obituary: Floyd Teague

Floyd Teague, age 80, of Lafollette, passed away on Thursday, March 5, at Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville.

Floyd loved his grandkids and playing cards. He was of the Baptist faith.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Lucy Teague; one brother; and six sisters.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Teague of Lafollette; son, Stephen Teague of Lafollette; daughters, Melissa O’Brien of Lafollette, Lucy Brewer and husband Monus of Lafollette; brother, James Teague and wife, Joy of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda Hopson, Chris O’Brien, Joshua Brewer, and Hannah Brewer; great-grandchildren, Paige, Haley, Sierra, and Addison; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Floyd’s family received his friends on Thursday, March 12, from 1 to 3 p.m., with his celebration of life following at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary.
