Anderson County is still seeking qualified applicants to complete the unexpired term of the Circuit Court Clerk, and the deadline to apply has been extended, according to WYSH Radio in Clinton.
The Anderson County Commission agreed Monday to extend the deadline for applications and resumes until Sept. 21., WYSH said.
Commissioners are expected to select the next Circuit Court Clerk during a special-called meeting at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 1.
The winning applicant will fill the unexpired term of Barry Pelizzari, who will retire in September. The appointment period will run from Oct. 1, 2012 until Sept. 1, 2014, WYSH said.
Applicants must meet all requirements for the job under Tennessee law, including constitutional and statutory qualifications, residency and bondability.
Those interested in the job can submit an application and resume to Mrs. Cathy Best, Director of Human Resources, Anderson County Courthouse Room 105, 100 North Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716.
