Crowe is described by Beth Russell, nurse manager in Surgery, as dependable and knowledgeable. Russell adds, “She always treats patients, families, doctors, and her coworkers with respect.â€
The person who nominated Crowe says, “She wants to make sure every patient receives excellent care.â€
The nomination describes how Crowe is focused on providing patients with a safe environment and is concerned about and promotes the “what ifs†for patient care.
Russell notes that Crowe is committed to her work, and the nomination says that she is always willing to lend a helping hand.
The nomination adds “She goes up to and beyond the call of duty, without question.â€
In addition to caring for her patients, Crowe takes special care of the families by making sure they are informed and up-to-date and she takes their concerns to heart.
The nomination concludes, “She can work circles around younger staff and is always ready for the next duty.â€
Upon receiving the MMCer of the Year award, Crowe expressed her heart-felt gratitude for the award. She commented that receiving the award meant a lot and that she was honored to be chosen by her co-workers and members of the hospital staff.
