Margaret Lucille Holloway, 92, of Oak Ridge, died December 5, 2014.
Margaret was born in Spring City, Tennessee, on June 9, 1922, to Henry Clay Smith and Melody Hill Smith.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of Oak Ridge Woman’s Club, a Camp Fire Leader, and a community volunteer.
Margaret came to Oak Ridge in 1944/1945 to work for Tennessee Eastman Corporation and retired to become a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed everything in nature and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Charles Michael Holloway; her husband, Charles Franklin Holloway; and her sister, Sudie Lowe.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Holloway Inman and her son-in-law, Stanley L. Inman; her granddaughter, Margaret Christina Inman Routh and husband Lucas Kinsley Routh; siblings and spouses, Henrietta Suttles, Elzie Gibson, June Kyle, H. C. and Peggy Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon Saturday, December 13, in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge with Jenny Caughman officiating. Immediately following, the family will have a reception and receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at the church from 12:30 until 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. (CST) Monday, December 15, at Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.
