Juanita T. Vickery

Juanita T. Vickery, age 84, of Clinton passed away early Monday morning, July 9, at Methodist Medical Center.

Juanita was a very giving woman who loved taking walks, gardening, and caring for her animals. She also loved the Lord and loved to testify to everyone. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Cora Tucker, and husband John Vickery.

Juanita is survived by sons, Stephen and wife Shirley Vickery of Jacksboro, Allen and wife Ruby Vickery of Clinton, Roger and wife Kimberly Vickery of Heiskell, and Ray Vickery of Clinton; and daughters, Linda Tindell and husband Gary of Oak Ridge, Dale Welch and husband Gary of Union County, Rose Hall and husband Richard of Clinton, Marlene Vickery Baxter of Clinton, Alma Wesley and husband Elvin of Clinton, Jaine Hardison and husband Steve of Clinton, Mary Roach and husband Stanley of Lake City, and Sue Huckaby and husband David of Clinton. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren (with three on the way), five great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Juanita’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. Rev. James Hassell Wesley will be officiating.

Her interment will be Thursday, July 12, at 11 a.m. in Blowing Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
