ADFAC Golf Donation

Oak Ridge Country Club’s Nine-hole Ladies Golf Association recently selected ADFAC (Aid To Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties Inc.) as the beneficiary of their charitable gifts.

In addition to personal contributions from individual members, Nancy Gray, who coordinated the event, “sold” mulligans to the players as a way to raise additional funds for ADFAC.

The women were pleased to participate and help ADFAC at the same time, a press release said.

“We are just so happy to be able to help this wonderful organization,” they said in the press release. “They take care of so many people who need assistance. We are glad to be able to help them do their worthwhile work.”

ADFAC is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping our less fortunate neighbors become more self-sufficient through a variety of services in their Social Services and Affordable Housing Programs.

ADFAC, a United Way partner, provides assistance to thousands of individuals and families each year.
