Anna Katherine (Power) Brown

Anne Katherine (Power) Brown, passed away September 25, 2014, after a lengthy illness surrounded by her family and friends at Physicians Regional (formerly St. Mary’s) Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Born June 4th, 1950, she was predeceased by her father Chris J. Power and her mother, Virginia S. Power of Oak Ridge, TN and her husband William F. Brown of Knoxville, TN. Kathy attended St Mary’s School, Jefferson Jr. High School and Oak Ridge High School prior to attending Knoxville Business College.

She is survived by her brother, Chris J. Power IV and wife Sharon, her nephew Chris J. Power V and two great nieces, Lucy and Ruby Power of Oak Ridge.

Katherine was a loving sister and sister-in-law and friend to all who knew her. She was an avid Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Titans fan. She also enjoyed taking many spur of the moment road trips with her friends.

A special mention goes out to her close loving friends Linda and Junior Brooks, Brenda and Gomer Owens, Charlene and Richard Collins, Teresa and David Pendergrass and Pastor Bill Canada and wife Angie. These wonderful friends were always there for “Kathy.”

Receiving of friends will be held Wednesday, October 1st at 10:00 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 in the chapel at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with Father Bede Aboh officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rainbow Baptist Church, 1229 Iredell Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37921 where Kathy attended church with her close friends.
