William “Bill” Bowen Luzader

William “Bill” Bowen Luzader Jr., 59, of Oak Ridge, passed away suddenly from complications of a stroke on September 25, 2014, at Ft. Sanders Regional.

He was born October 19, 1954, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to parents William Bowen Luzader Sr. and Betty Jane Harding Luzader.

Bill was managing owner of Docks N Stuff and owner of Quality Car Care for 38 years. He was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church.

Bill’s passion was cowboy shooting re-enactments. He was a member of ORSA Outlaws, The Smoky Mountain Shootist Society, and SASS (Single Action Shooting Society).

He was also a car enthusiast since the age of 10, a NASCAR fan, and an avid sports fan of football, especially UT and Titans.

Preceding him in death were his father, William B. Luzader Sr., and brother, Karl Luzader.

His survivors include his mother, Betty Luzader, of Clinton; his wife of 26 years, Carol Luzader, of Oak Ridge; son, William Luzader III, of Knoxville; daughter, Rebecca Yeager, of Connecticut; sisters, Barbara Broomall (Jim), of Newark, Delaware, and Karen Eskew (John), of Columbia, Maryland; step-children, Michael Kemp Jr., of Knoxville, Robert A. Kemp (Melissa), of Clinton, and
Jason T. Kemp (Ashley), of Harriman; grandchildren, Megan Harkness (Brandon), Trevor Kemp, Jacob Carroll, Layken Kemp, Mason Yeager, and LeAnne Luzader; great-grandchildren, Marlee and Thomas Harkness; and many nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Tuesday, September 30, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral service began at 2 p.m. with Rev. Don Morris officiating. Interment followed at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
