Kelene “Kelly” Elizabeth Russell Bryson, age 56, of Harriman, left this world to join our Savior on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
She was born October 9, 1957, in Orange County, Calif. Mrs. Bryson was employed at Martin Marietta Energy Systems for 24 years at the Y-12 plant, as a laboratory specialist/supervisor, before taking a medical retirement in 2002.
She was a member of Christ Community Church in Oak Ridge, and she enjoyed scrapbooking and photography.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Russell.
She is survived by her husband Drew Bryson. They celebrated 20 years of marriage on May 7, 2014.
She is also survived by her mother, Jean Meyers and husband Don of Selah, Wash.;Â daughters, Alyssa Marie DeVore and husband Ben of Knoxville, Elizabeth Anne Bell and husband Wes of Jonesboro, Ga., and Skyelar Brieanne Bryson of Harriman, a rising senior at Oak Ridge High School; brother, Steve Russell and wife Cindy of Plano, Texas; sister, Stacey Crum and husband Larry of Lakeland, Tenn.; sister-in-law, Crista Slover and husband Mike of Knoxville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, The Rev. Dr. Laird Bryson and Bitsy of Knoxville; grandson, Solomon DeVore; and niece and nephews, Steve, Robert, and Catherine Russell, Larry Crum, and Zac Slover.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 6–8 p.m. at Christ Community Church. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Christ Community Church with The Rev. Tom Job officiating and The Rev. Dr. Laird Bryson assisting. A graveside service will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Kelly’s honor to Christ Community Church, 100 Ogden Lane, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
