Obituary: Ruth Powell Lowe

Ruth Powell Lowe, age 54, a resident of the Marlow Community in Anderson County, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at her home.

Ruth was born July 22, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio. She moved to Tennessee in 1983.

Before her disability, she was employed as a store manager at several area convenience stores.

Ruth was preceded in death by a grandson, Quenton Etter, and by brothers, Gary Wayne Powell, Harold Powell, and Keith Whitley.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Lowe of the Marlow Community; by a son, Larren Etter and wife Valley, of Harriman; by a granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Etter of Harriman; by her mother, Cora Nesster, of Eaton, Ohio; by her father, Earl J. Powell of Richmond, Ky.; by brothers, Terry Rice and wife Donna, of Coalfield, Sammy Powell and wife Jessie, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Paul Powell and wife Rachel, of Richmond, Ky., David Earl Powell and wife Sharon, of New Lebanon, Ohio, and Perry Dale Whitley of Shelby, Ohio; and by sisters, Mary Powell of Richmond, Ky., Brooksetta Lemasters of Grand Rapids, Mich., Melissa Blevins and husband Gerald, of West Liberty, Ky., and Melinda Suzette Neester of Shelbyville, Mich.

Ruth is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members, and special friends.

Guest were received at the family home in Marlow on Sunday, May 18, between 1 and 4 pm. Burial and graveside services will be private.
