Allie T. Stinson

Allie T. Stinson, age 104, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge.

Allie was born April 29, 1910, in Cullman, Ala., and moved to Oak Ridge in 1943. She was a member of New York Avenue Church of Christ. Allie enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lee Stinson and daughter Carolyn Dean Underwood.

Allie is survived by three children, Alan Stinson of Gallatin, Tenn., Ann McClain of Clinton, and Betty Hurt Smith and her husband Tom of Oak Ridge; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grand children.

A funeral service was held Monday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at New York Avenue Church of Christ with Harold Scott officiating. Interment followed at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family received friends prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church.
