Glen Edward Roysden, age 56, a resident of Clinton, passed away Saturday, May 10, at Methodist Medical Center.
Mr. Roysden was born November 17, 1957, in Oliver Springs. He and his family moved from New River to Oliver Springs in 1968.
Glen owned and operated Glen Roysden Masonary. He was of the Baptist Faith, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, but most importantly having holiday dinners with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russel Roysden and Mary Hicks Roysden; by sisters: Etta Ruth Matherson and Evelyn Faye Killensworth; and by brothers: Bruce Wayne Roysden and James Franklin Roysden.
Glen is survived by his wife, Gail Roysden of Clinton; by children, Tosha Roysden of Powell, Veronica Hunter and fiancee Shane Carpenter of Wartburg, and Kaela Barnes of Newport, Ky.; by step-children: Samantha Hall and husband John of Oliver Springs, Marcus Lively of Oliver Springs, Audra Devaney and husband Tony of Andersonville, and Gary Joe Russell and wife Cassi of Oak Ridge; and by grandchildren: Lillijan Hunter, Jase Curtis Edward McMahan, Sophia Leighann Hall, and Weston Riley Hall.
He is also survived by brothers, Jerry Roysden and wife Teresa of Wartburg, Gary “Joe” Roysden of Wartburg, and John Paul Roysden of Oliver Springs; and by sisters: Rena Olson of Harriman, Edna Haynes of Clinton, Margaret Westmoreland and husband Bobby of Clinton, Linda Sue White of Coalfield, Billie Cornell of Oliver Springs, Betty Griggs and husband Rickie of Coalfield, and Anna Curtin and husband, Allan of Coalfield. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
The family will recieve friends, Tuesday, May 13, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Morgan officiating.
