He was a 1976 graduate of Charles M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Mont., and a 1981 graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Greg was a follower of Christ and a faithful member of Heritage Fellowship Church in Oak Ridge, where he was instrumental in starting the Band of Brothers men’s group.

Greg was employed as an insurance agent with American National Insurance Company, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid University of Tennessee fan.

Greg is survived by his loving wife Elaine Waggoner Jackson; daughters, Ashley Jackson, and Annie Smith and her husband Jason; father, Leighton Jackson; brother Jeffery Jackson and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren Emily and Gabriel Smith; several nieces and nephews; sister and brother-in-law Scott and Robyn Johstone; mother-in-law Shirley Waggoner; and special friends Rich Dodson, Daryl Lanxon, and Roger Murray.

The funeral service will be held Friday, March 28, at 8 p.m. at Heritage Fellowship Church with Pastor Paul Metler officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
