AARP Alzheimer's Luncheon

A Thursday luncheon organized by the local AARP chapter will focus on preventing Alzheimer’s.

The luncheon starts at noon Thursday in Room 54 of the Oak Ridge Senior Center. Those who attend are asked to bring a dish.

The luncheon will feature Sonny Biden and Angelia Jones. Call (865) 684-8585 for more information.

You may also call AARP Chapter #625 membership chair Doris Hardin at (865) 482-8635.

The Thursday luncheon is the first of three programs on Alzheimer’s. The second one in May will focus on 10 steps to detecting Alzheimer’s, and the third in June will ask, “Alzheimer’s: Is it your destiny?”

The Senior Center is at 728 Emory Valley Road in Oak Ridge.
