Obituary: Lester Branham

Lester Branham, age 88, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Norris Health and Rehabilitation Center in Norris.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Martha Branham; wife, Betty Branham; daughter, Janet Cox; and brothers, Fletcher Branham and Leaburn Branham.

Lester is survived by his son, Danny Branham and wife Kathy of Clinton; brothers, Whetsel Branham of Kingston, Seaburn Branham and wife Carol of King George, Va.; sisters, Tempa Ann Elkins of Virginia, Ina Hardesty and husband Sonny of Virginia; four grandchildren, Tonya Dycus, Stephanie Nichols, Dr. Daniel Branham and wife Cassidy, and Katie Branham; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Dycus, Johnny Dycus, and Nathanial Nichols; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lester’s family will receive his friends on Monday, Feb. 17, from 12-2 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., both in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Wayne Hedrick officiating. Lester’s interment will follow his funeral service at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris, with full military honors.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
