Jesse “J. W.” William Webb, age 74, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 5, 1939, in Ware Shoals, S.C., the son of Jesse Robinson Webb and Lula Mae Turner Webb.
Mr. Webb retired from Sears, where he was a sales associate. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oak Ridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Webb, and sister, Hazel Crossno.
He is survived by wife, Linda Willbanks Webb; sons, William Brent Webb and wife Melissa and Kevin Shane Webb and wife Clarissa, all of Oak Ridge;Â daughter, Stacey Renee Teasley and husband Allan of Knoxville; sisters, Sue Helton of Chattanooga, Mary Jo Cook and Phyllis Kay Webb, both of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, Mikaila, Amber, Brandon, and Shaun Teasley;Â mother-in-law, Ruby Willbanks of Oak Ridge; brother-in-law, Maurice Willbanks of Hardy, Ark.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5–7 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the ASPCA in his memory.
