Aubrey’s of Oak Ridge is hosting a fundraiser night on Monday to support Girls Inc. of Oak Ridge.

Aubrey’s is located at 481 S. Illinois Ave.

“Invite all your friends and family to dine with us at Aubrey’s, and 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Girls Inc.!” a press release said.

The local Girls Inc. at 1798 Oak Ridge Turnpike is part of a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Girls Inc. provides educational programs to millions of American girls, the release said.

Girls Inc. of Oak Ridge serves more than 600 girls a year and offers research-based, informal educational programs that introduce them to the thought processes and methods employed by science, technology, engineering, and math professionals. The girls are also provided with opportunities to take on real-life scientific challenges, the release said.

Girls Inc. is a United Way of Anderson County agency. It receives about 21 percent of its annual funding from United Way, and the remainder comes from grants, program fees, donations, and fundraiser events.
