Sandra Faye Walls Marcum

Sandra Faye Walls Marcom, age 74, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Sandra was born February 23, 1938, in Coalfield. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of family, cooking, and flower gardening.

Mrs. Marcom was preceded in death by husbands, James “Jake” Marcom and Jesse Kesterson, and by her mother, Anna Mae Walls.

She is survived by her father, Arnold Walls of Coalfield; by daughters, Tamara Jackson and husband, Lynn, of Coalfield, Jill Craft and husband, Michael, of Arab, Alabama, and Stanley Marcom and wife, Amanda, of Knoxville; and by grandchildren, Colt Jackson and wife, Mica, of Kingston, Casey Jackson of Tacoma, Washington, Alex Craft of Auburn, Alabama, Maggie Craft of Arab, Alabama, and Emily Brener of Knoxville.

She is also survived by sisters, Brenda Jackson and husband, Bit, of Coalfield, Melanie Walls of Oak Ridge; by brothers, Royce Walls and wife, Wanda, of Oliver Springs, Shannon Walls and wife, Glenda, of Oliver Springs, and Don Walls and wife, Yvonne, of LaPort, Indiana; and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2012, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ronald Guthrie officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be held Friday, June 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 3001 Lake Brook Boulevard, Suite 101, Knoxville, TN 37909.
