Obituary: Wilbert Muriel Phillips

Wilbert Muriel Phillips, age 56, a resident of Wartburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Phillips was born Feb. 11, 1957, in the New River Community of Anderson County.

Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Phillips and Louise Lowe Phillips; by brothers, Frank, Roy Lee, and Hubert Phillips; and by sisters, Betty White and Ora Mae Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Phillips of Wartburg; by daughters, Sarahann Aldredge and husband Dustin, of Washington, and Mollie Campbell of Fillmore, Utah; by sons, Robert Dredge of San Diego, Calif., Joe Campbell, Sammy Campbell, Wilbert Lee Phillips, and Daniel Wayne Phillips, all of Wartburg; by brothers, Charles Homer Phillips and wife Bertha of Wartburg, and F.C. Phillips of Oklahoma; and by sisters, Ruby Daugherty and husband Howard, of New River, Audrey Wilson and husband Edward, of Wartburg, Bessie Phillips of Oak Ridge, Debbie Robertson of Kingston, and Mary Myers of California.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sharp Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Phillips and an online guest book is available at www.sharpfh.com.
