Lillian Melba Walton, 93, of Kingston, formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away on Nov. 8, 2013, at Jamestowne Assisted Living in Kingston.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Lincoln Park, Mich., to parents Milton E. and Bonnie M. Emmonds Lavy.
Lillian was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, and cooking, especially for her family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Kingston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Walton and daughter, Sharon Kay McGill.
Her survivors include sons, Ron Walton and wife Terry, of Oak Ridge; Bruce Walton and wife Joan, of Kingston; son-in-law, George McGill, of Kingston; grandchildren, Scott McGill, Bryan McGill, and Nicholas Walton; and several great-grandchildren.
Very special people in her life were son-in-law George McGill and friends Nelda Toon, Cathy and Tommy O’Connor, and niece Bunny Kreyger and husband Joe.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Wendy Neff officiating. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5–7 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
