Betty Jo Braden, age 82, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Harriman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Braden was born January 9, 1930, in Kentucky. She has lived in Tennessee since early childhood.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Orben Braden; by her parents, Cleo Lively and Jess Butler Lively; by a brother, William Lively; and by sisters, Ruth Lively and Gladys Russell.
Betty Jo is survived by sons, Timothy Braden and wife, Tammy, and Timothy Lewis Braden and wife, Julie Karen Braden, all of Oliver Springs; by grandchildren, Orben Chase, Allison Noel, Jacie Royce, Jaylynn Allissa, Brandon and wife Tabitha, Troy and Amber Braden; and by a great-grandchild, Ethan Braden.
She is also survived by a brother, Tom Lively and wife, Lavada, of Oliver Springs; by a sister, Thelma Silvey of Oliver Springs; and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2012, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ernest Fritts officiating.
Burial and graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Indian Creek Cemetery.
