Four people were recently inducted into the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame.
They are Barry Saunders, Bobby Richards, Jennifer Wilson Galloway, and Jennifer Cristy Strawn.
An induction ceremony took place during halftime of the recent Oak Ridge High School homecoming game against Gibbs High School.

Barry Saunders has been a member of the football coaching staff at Oak Ridge High School for more than 35 years. He has coached on four state championship teams. Numerous athletes coached by him earned All State honors and went on to play in college and even the NFL.
Bobby Richards (ORHS 1956) played football at LSU and in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons.
Jennifer Wilson Galloway (ORHS 1999) played basketball at ORHS, where she was named All American. She also played at UTC and was named All Conference three times. In her senior year, she was named the Souhern Conference Female Athlete of the Year. She currently coaches girl’s basketball at Hardin Valley.
Jennifer Cristy Strawn (ORHS 1997) was a nationally ranked swimmer. She swam for the University of Indiana, where she was All Big 10 every year and held nine school records. She also competed in Olympic Trails in 2000.
