The AARP Senior Driver’s Safety Program is being offered at the Oak Ridge Senior Center on Wednesday and Thursday.
The eight-hour class will be held in two sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, and it is open to drivers in Oak Ridge and the area who are 50 and older. You do not have to be a member of AARP to attend.
The class costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Register by calling the Senior Center at (865) 425-3999.
Graduates of the class may be able to qualify for a discount on their automobile insurance. Instruction is through class work only, and no tests are given. Attendance at both sessions is required for certification.
