Carlotta Woodby, age 66, of New Lexington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at her daughter’s residence in Oliver Springs.
Carlotta loved making crafts, playing with her grandchildren, and visiting her family in Tennessee. She was a well-loved mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gladys Ruth Ball; husband, Kenneth Allen Woodby; and daughter, Romona McLaughlin.
Carlotta is survived by sons, Sam Holsinger and wife Barbara of Oliver Springs, and Leon William Hoyt Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters, Kim Harness and husband Eddie of Oliver Springs, Teresa Freeman of Somerset, Ohio, and Annette Hoyt and Charles Williams of Clinton; brothers, Thomas Ball, and Gary Ball and his wife Billijean all of Somerset, Ohio; special caretaker and granddaughter Tracy Perkins; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Carlotta’s family received friends on Friday, Aug. 30, from 1-3 p.m. at Jones Mortuary in Clinton. Her funeral service followed in the chapel of Jones Mortuary at 3 p.m. with Rev. Mike Inman officiating.
Her interment was Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 9:30 a.m. in the new East Tennessee State Veterans’ Cemetery in Knoxville.
