Danny Lee Duncan, age 61, a resident of Harriman, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Roane Medical Center.
Danny was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Oliver Springs. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
Danny worked as a auto body repairman at the Clinton Highway Wrecker Service for the past 25 years.
Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Duncan.
Danny is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rita Thompson Duncan of Harriman; by his mother, Betty Hilditch of Harriman; by sons, Jason Duncan of Harrisburg, Pa., Everett Duncan of Harriman, Rocky Lowery and wife Charity of Harriman, and Scott Lowery and wife Brittani of Oak Ridge; by a daughter, Tonya Goddard and husband Robert of Coalfield; and by grandchildren, Anthony, Stephen, and Brady Duncan, Whitney, Lindsay, and Makinley Lowery, and Landan and Casey Lowery.
He is also survived by a host of special friends, including Steve “Munchkin†Brown of Harriman and Rick Carnes of Powell.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 12, between the hours of 6 and 7 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rodney Burnett and a friend, Rick Carnes, officiating.
