Randall Earl Hamilton

Randall Earl Hamilton, age 61, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 3, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center.

He was born March 13, 1952, in Oak Ridge, the son of Earl Frank Hamilton and Sarah Edith Patton Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton was a graduate of Roane County High School. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Faith Promise Church.

Mr. Hamilton was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, and he loved sports of all kinds, especially baseball, football and basketball. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by wife, Cindy Hamilton of Oak Ridge; mother, Sarah “Pat” Hamilton of Kingston; son, Matthew; sisters, Gale H. Pace (Stan) of Knoxville and Sharon Barnes (TJ) of Kingston; brother, William G. Davidson (Linda) of Niota; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ernest and Joyce Wise of Holly, Mich.; sister-in-law, Patti Travioli (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; brother-in-law, John Osborn Jr. (Lisa) of St. Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family received friends Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral followed at 7 p.m. with Pastor Chris Bunn officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be provided by the Roane County Honor Guard.

Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Justin Pace, Jason Pace, Randall Barnes, Michael Barnes, Bill Davidson, and Scott Davidson.
