The 2013 Roane Alliance Gala will be held Friday, Nov. 1, and the theme of this year’s annual fundraiser will be “Magic.”

“The Roane Alliance Gala is always kind of a magical event,” said Roane Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie Henderson. “So, it just made sense to embrace that as our theme this year.”

The Gala is the primary annual fundraising event for The Alliance, and the money raised from the night goes toward funding the many programs The Alliance administers throughout the year to ensure quality growth for Roane County, a press release said.

“Your support is essential to our future,” said Roane Alliance Board Chair Sharon Templeton. “We have announced many successes here at the Alliance this past year, but we need your continued help to keep the momentum going.”

The Gala may have a serious purpose, but it is also one of the region’s premier social events, the release said. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a wine reception and a silent auction accompanied by live music and entertainment, a gourmet meal, a live auction, and more.

The release said a limited number of major sponsorships are available over the next two weeks. In addition, tables will also be sold, and individual tickets can be purchased at $150 per person. Auction donations are also welcomed. To become a Gala supporter through sponsorships, ticket purchases, or donations of auction items, call the Roane Alliance at (865) 376-2093.

The Roane Alliance is Roane County’s economic development organization and consists of both public and private organizations, including the Roane County Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Development Board, and the Visitor’s Bureau.
