Thelma Rose Moore Seiber

Thelma Rose Moore Seiber, age 51, a resident of Harriman and formerly of Coalfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, at her home.

Mrs. Seiber was born Jan. 28, 1962. She grew up and lived in Coalfield until her move to Ft. Benning, Ga., in 2011.

Thelma was employed as a receptionist at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and a member of the Elverton Baptist Church in Harriman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. William Lanford “WL” Moore and Wanda Faye Bedford Moore; by her maternal grandparents, Tom and Arvena Bedford; and by her paternal grandparents, Clifford and Nellie Moore.

She is survived by sons, Christopher Carroll of Ft. Benning, Ga., and Dustin Carroll of Wartburg; by grandsons, Gage and Wesley Carroll of Ft. Benning and Eli Carroll of Wartburg; by sisters, Lois Campbell of Harriman and Joyce Abshire of Coalfield; and by brothers, Darrell Moore of Wartburg, James Moore of Oliver Springs, and Jason Moore of Coalfield.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends.

The family received friends between 6 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Sharp Funeral Home with the funeral following at 7 p.m. with Pastor Charles Campbell Jr. officiating. Burial and graveside services were held at noon Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
