Mack Petty

Mack Petty, age 89, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, July 6, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Mack was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lucille Petty; first wife, Virginia A. Petty; brothers, Clinton Petty, Rayford Petty, Reavis Petty, and Jimmy Petty; and sister, Caroline Choate.

Mack is survived by wife, Delores Petty of Clinton; daughters, Brenda Jennings and husband Eddie of Clinton, Beverly Sparks and husband Thomas of Zirconia, N.C.; grandchildren, Robert Queener, Brian Atkerson, and Allen Jennings; great-grandchildren, Allie Jennings, Wesley Queener, Jordan Queener, and Johnny Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mack’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. at the Clinton Church of Christ with Bro. Daryl Glenn and Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Mack’s interment will be Wednesday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton with full military honors.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
