Valerie Seiber Frederick Sexton, age 55, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Sunday, June 9, at her home.
Valerie was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Oak Ridge. She was a lifelong resident of Oliver Springs.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Frederick; by her mother, Ethel Thelma Seiber; by a brother, Ronald J. Seiber; and by a step-brother, Doyle Nelson.
Before her disability, she was employed at Methodist Medical Center in the Environmental Services Department.
Valerie was a loving mother and grandmother, and she was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Roger Sexton, of Oliver Springs; by grandchildren, Destiny Hope Chamberlin, of Sunbright, D.J. Carden Jr., of Oliver Springs, and Andrea Renee Overton, of Deer Lodge; by her father, Dennis Seiber, of Oliver Springs; by sisters, Roma Jean Shelton and husband John, of Knoxville, Nancy Langley and husband Kerry, of Oliver Springs, Gail Patterson and Marvin Brown, of Oak Ridge, and Barbara Seiber, of Oliver Springs; and by a brother, Bruce Seiber and wife Shell, of Oliver Springs.
She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends, including a special aunt, Louise Borum of Rockwood.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11, between 6 and 7 p.m., at Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Wayne Morgan officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 1 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
