John Trice Donald

John Trice Donald, age 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, May 15.

He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Dorsey, Miss., the son of Audrey Lee and Luna Christian Donald.

Mr. Donald was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the U.S. Army. He worked as a telephone installer. Mr. Donald was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roy Lee Donald.

He is survived by his son, John Trice Donald Jr., of Clinton; brother, James Donald and wife Linda, of Oak Ridge; sisters, Nora Crites and husband Tommy, of Oak Ridge, Wilma Cooley and husband Charles, of Oliver Springs, and Winnie Robinson of Clinton; grandchildren, Amanda Donald and Ginny Donald of Huntsville, Ala.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family received friends Saturday, May 18, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral began at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. E. McCausland officiating. The interment followed at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Volunteer State War Era Veterans Honor Guard.
