Scott Alan Rutherford

Scott Alan Rutherford, age 47, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, May 10, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 17, 1966, in Oak Ridge and was an 1984 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Mr. Rutherford worked as an operations analyst at Westgate Resorts in Knoxville. He enjoyed music, photography, and animals.

He was preceded in death by his father, O’Larry F. Rutherford.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Lamb and step-father John W. Lamb of Oak Ridge; his partner of ten years, Mark McPhail of Knoxville; brother, Daniel Lynn Rutherford and wife Charleen and nephew, Jacob Lynn Rutherford, all of Naples, Fla.; and his beloved canine and feline companions, Ginger, Lincoln, Sadie, Gracie, Momma Whiskers, Truman, and Yoda.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Sweet officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
