Bobbie Jean Tucker

Bobbie Jean Tucker, age 74, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away, Wednesday, March 20, at Methodist Medical Center.

Mrs. Tucker was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Oliver Springs. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

Bobbie Jean was a homemaker, a loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed attending car races. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Robert Hacker and Flora Vann Hacker Smurdon, and by her husband, Amos Denton “Buddy” Tucker.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by a son, Larry Denton Tucker and wife Mona Lisa of Oliver Springs; by grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Tucker and Justin Denton Tucker of Oliver Springs; by a brother, Lester Hacker and wife Imojean of Halls; and by sisters, Willie Mae Justice and husband Arlie, and Lillie Faye Lowe and husband Albert, all of Oliver Springs. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family received friends, Saturday, March 23, between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ralph Wilson and Pastor Terry Braden officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
