Norma Faye Amos, 73, of Oak Ridge, passed away at her home on March 1.
She was born on May 17, 1939, in Armathwaite, Tenn., to parents Sylvester J. Jones and Dessie Bridges Jones.
Norma was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had retired after 33 years with the U.S. Department of Energy as a document processor.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, and geneology.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Eric Shannon Amos in 1992; and grandson, Bruce Allen Amos in 2006.
Surviving her are her husband, William B. Amos; son, William Vince Amos and wife Lois, all of Oak Ridge;Â sisters, Pansy Goad of Jamestown and Patricia Longest of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Tina Marie Amos and Brad Andrew Amos;Â and great-grandchildren, Bailee Bolden, Olivia Parsons, and Ameilia Parsons.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 4, at 7 p.m.. The graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 a.m.
