Jack C. “Pappy” Ethridge

Jack C. “Pappy” Ethridge, age 76, a resident of Clinton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Mr. Ethridge was born May 19, 1936, in Birmingham, Ala. He has lived in Clinton since 1965. Pappy was an avid outdoorsman and ATV Rider and the founder of the Windrock ATV Club. He was also a member of Atomic Lodge F&AM #756 in Oak Ridge.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Joanna Louise Ethridge; by a son, Jack Keith Ethridge; by parents, Charles and Jackie Gilham Ethridge; and by a brother, Frank Ethridge.

Mr. Ethridge is survived by a son, Randy Ethridge and wife Penny, and by a daughter, Donna Ethridge all of Clinton; by grandchildren, Kari Merritt and husband Donnie of Oak Ridge, Kori Dison and husband Joe of Oliver Springs, Randi Ethridge, and Savannah Brock of Clinton; and by great-grandchildren, Alex Merritt, Gavin Merritt, Hunter Dison, and Emily Dison.

He is also survived by brothers, James “Don” Ethridge and wife Eva of Springboro, Ohio, and Tommy Ethridge and wife Sharon of Oak Ridge; by a sister, Brenda Demps of Oak Ridge; and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends including, Mickey and Sissy Chamberlain, Barb Perry, Darrick York, and Will Quiet.

A funeral service was held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Beech Park Misson Trip Fund. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Sharp Funeral Home.
