Douglas Phillips

Douglas Phillips, age 76 of Clinton, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, at Methodist Medical Center.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Doug enjoyed fishing and taking his grandchildren snipe hunting. He was always willing to help others who were in need.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando and Margaret Phillips; wife, Iva Martin (Ted); daughter, Iva Scott Green, and brother, Ernest Lee Phillips.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Deborah Hammock of Clinton. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; best friend, Bill Taylor of Clinton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

At Doug’s request, there will be no services for him.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
