Archie Michael Bradley

Archie Michael (Injun) Bradley, age 65, of Oak Ridge, stepped into Heaven’s gates on Feb. 5.

He was born Jan. 11, 1948, in Sylva, N.C., the son of Harry Lee and Lorena Bradley. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He had a great love for his family and was a very proud father and grandfather.

He was a 1966 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and played football for Jefferson Junior High and Oak Ridge High School. In addition to sports, he loved the outdoors and was known for his large summer gardens and his love of jokes.

Mr. Bradley grew up in the Oak Ridge Wesleyan Church and was a member until the church closed in 2008.

He was a Trouble Shooter Crew member in the United States Navy and served on the USS Coral Sea and USS Ranger. He served in Vietnam and received the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Navy unit commendation ribbon. Mr. Bradley was a mail carrier for the Oak Ridge Post Office.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Keith Bradley, who was killed in Vietnam.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Pack Bradley, his high school sweetheart. He is also survived by daughter, Lisa Bradley Ridenour and husband Ken; son, Joseph Bradley; grandchildren, Eric and Abby Ridenour; brother and sister- in-law, Lee and Delores Bradley; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and close and personal friends. He will be greatly missed by his family.

A private celebration of his life was held with the Rev. Matt Reed officiating.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Foust and Dr. Pearson and their staff for their care and compassion.
