Mary Fohey, age 77, of Lancing, Tenn., formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Methodist Medical Center.
She was born in Corryton, Tenn., to the late Andy and Willie May Stinnett. Mary attended Central High School in Knoxville. She worked for American Express as a collection manager.
Mary loved her grandkids, gardening, reading, and cooking. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Clinton.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Dockery; sons, Michael Dockery, and Big Don Dockery; daughters, Jeanie Dockery, and Debra Burns.
She is survived by her son, Donald Dockery of Georgia; daughters, Carol Lynn Bailey of Knoxville, Candi Leigh Scalf and husband John of Lancing; brother, James Stinnett and wife Artha of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and sisters, Nancy Susan Peacock of Clinton, Patsi Porter and husband Charles of Ormond Beach, Fla, and Sherri Lynn Smith of Knoxville. Mary also leaves behind seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary’s family and friends gathered on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary for her celebration of life with Rev. Marty Stooksbury officiating. Her interment will be private.
Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
