Lupe Ruiz

Lupe Ruiz, age 80, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dearly loved her grandchildren and being with her family. Lupe also enjoyed working outside with flowers. Lupe was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church of Clinton.

Lupe was preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo and Trinidad Elias; daughters, Nancy Louise Ruiz and Linda Marie Guzman; brother Gregory Elias; and sister Martina Sanchez.

Lupe is survived by husband, Trinidad Villa Ruiz of Lake City; sons, Michael David Ruiz and wife Ann of Clinton, Arnold James Ruiz of Lake City, and Carlos Adrian Ruiz and wife Shelly of Hollister, Calif.; daughter, Margaret Evon Moody and husband Gregory of Lake City; and sisters Mary Andrade of San Jose, Calif., Isabel Velez and husband Sal of Hollister, Calif., and Rosie Villarreal and husband Manuel of Hollister, Calif.; She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lupe’s visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, with her funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Celebrant Father Julius Abuh.

Her interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton.
