Janice Phillips Daugherty

Janice Phillips Daugherty, age 74, a resident of Harriman, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, at the Courtyard of Oak Ridge.

Janice was born Sept. 2, 1938, in the New River Community of Anderson County.

She was a faithful Christian and a member of Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. She was employed in the environmental services department for Sodexo at Methodist Medical Center for 20 years.

Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Daugherty; by her parents, Jessie and Marcy McGhee Phillips; by a brother, Paul McGhee; by a sister, Vaudie Zeh; and by a twin brother and sister, Carlos and Gladys Phillips.

Janice is survived by a sister, Virginia Kozel and her husband, Glenn; by a niece, Melissa Creamer and her husband Kyle; and by great nieces, Katie and Taylor Creamer, all of Aurora, Ohio.

She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many special friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 30, between 5 and 7 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Beech Park Baptist Church.
