Oak Ridge crews are working to clear roads and repair water line breaks.
The Oak Ridge Public Works Department worked through the night to clear main roads, according to the city government. Melton Lake Drive and South Illinois Avenue are back open.
The department will begin to plow side streets once main roads are good for driving, the city said.
“While every city street was brined or treated before the storm, it was no match for this amount of snow combined with continued low temperatures,” the city said.
As of Tuesday morning, there were three water main breaks that water crews were working to repair.
“These repairs take significantly longer when there is this much snow on the ground,” the city said.
The municipal government plans to provide updates as they work through the city on plows and continue to repair main breaks.

Claremont Road is always one of the last to get cleared. We are on a hill are are stuck in until the city comes and clears. If we can get down, we can’t get up.

We have had literally Noone come down Kentucky ave to plow or add any chemicals. Here in oakridge our road is horrible.
