Oak Ridge Schools has published the number of open seats available in each grade at elementary and middle schools for students who are interested in cross-boundary and out-of-district tuition enrollment.
The number of open seats ranges from zero to eight, depending upon the school and grade. Numbers are subject to change based on new families moving into the district, according to Oak Ridge Schools.
The open enrollment numbers for the 2023-2024 school year are available on this school district website page: Enrollment Information for 2023-2024 – Oak Ridge Schools (ortn.edu).
Students interested in cross-boundary or tuition enrollment must submit an application to Oak Ridge Schools district office, a press release said. The application window will open on March 20, and close April 14. Applications will be available for download from the open enrollment web page on March 20, and they may be submitted via email (lhenderson@ortn.edu), fax (865-425-9061) or delivered in-person to the Oak Ridge Schools Administration building.
Tuition rates for the 2023-24 year are pending approval by the Oak Ridge Schools Board of Education at its meeting on Monday, March 27, the press release said. To view the proposed tuition fees, visit this page: OpenEnrollment_FY24 Tuition Rates.pdf (ortn.edu).
